THX 1971 is Thomas Meier-Goldau from Augsburg Germany, born in November 1971. Computermade Electronic Music since 2016. The Name THX 1971 is a combination of my birthyear and an honour to the famous Science-Fiction-Movie THX 1138.
After a three years cathartic process of destruction, rebirth and rejuvenation of personal values & musical aesthetics, “Babes Of The Abyss” emerged as a new chapter in Tanz Ohne Musik’s existence. I’m still surprised by the unique musical structure and deeply esoteric vibe of the final result that was literally forged into the womb the Abyss. This process also guided me to regain the innocence and curiosity that once defined Tanz Ohne Musik’s musical expression, above all the knowledge & experience accumulated through the years. With infinite love for Irina, my reflection, partner, friend, priestess and guide, earthly and celestial.
