Hapax is a postpunk synth wave project from Naples (Italy) that combines 80’s dark-wave sounds with modern experimental /industrial arrangements. The duo was formed in 2014 and consists of Michele Mozzillo (vocals, bass, synth, lyrics) and Diego Cardone (guitar, synth, programming, artwork). The debut album was released on December 2014 for the label Swiss Dark Nights and is a 11 tracks concept inspired to the narrative device employed by some writers of the early XXth Century, the “Stream of consciousness”, which seeks to depict the multitudinous thoughts and feelings which like a flow pass through the mind before they could be logically organized in sentences. A dramatic and exhausting introspection into human soul.
We are pleased to announce the release of “Pearl for Guttiere” by Ukrainien band Bad News from Cosmos on Evawyna. This 7 tracks album conducts its narrative line trough radically different textures, alterning folk songs, drone experiments, pop melodies and haunting synths. Bad News from Cosmos is a Ukrainian band (Andrii Hrachov and Iryna Bodnar), active since 2010. The duo is mostly focused on creating songs and freeform improvisations narrating of love and death. “We are devotees of mathematical polyphonies, sequences and improvisations based on pure feeling and dark romantic world vision. We fuel our passion for composing by the inspiration we get from vibrant and harsh sound textures, as well as from the flexibility of the music piece form. We search our style in the area where classical composition form and vitalizing freedom of avant-approach are intercrossed. An eternal experiment is the way we’ve chosen to lead us to what we call a musical perfection.”
EP is the latest release from Zarkoff, also known for running Sensorium Studio in Zagreb, Croatia, and being involved in Sumerian Fleet, Florence Foster Fan Club and Popsimonova & Zarkoff. CD-R edition limited to 50 copies (just a few copies left). |
