Impersonate or Die is producing music for the darkness that we all breed inside, a one man project based in Athens, managed by Nick Stonem.
Cititrax is proud to present a 4 song split EP by Silent Servant and Broken English Club. Although the two are geographically very far apart, Silent Servant based in Los Angeles, US and Broken English Club based in London, UK, the two share a similar outlook and musical approach. Both projects have been on the rise lately, and stem from a strongly rooted techno background. Combining their influences of dance music, techno, EBM, industrial and post-punk, Silent Servant and Broken English Club offer a new breed of EBM infused techno wave on the Violence And Divinity EP. They artfully create music that works both on and off the dance floor, infusing a dark atmospheric mood with addictive, pulsating rhythms. Themes of love, death, modernity and automobile crashes appear throughout this EP from the music itself right through to the cover art and one of a kind vinyl pressing. Limited edition vinyl pressing of 999 copies, first 500 copies are pressed on black inside milky clear vinyl, housed in a matte printed sleeve. “evaluated” is the companion album to “evaluations”, the debut album of TSTI, released on desire18 months ago. It contains 14 remixes (10 on the vinyl + 4 as bonus digital) by producers and bands as diverse as Soft Riot, Phosphor, XIU, Heinrich Dressel, Castratii, Roladex… Isolated in an upstate, NY bedroom studio exists TSTI, a solo project by artist S. Smith described as ‘dark, hazy synthetic pop.’ Constructing musical landscapes that combine pounding drum machines with elevated melodies, TSTI stirs the echoes of his 80’s influences into a pot of contradicting emotions to establish a diverse yet familiar and powerful sound. The genesis of TSTI began in a 2003 but did not show its face until the summer 2011 with the self-released, 4 song demo “Black Envelope EP.” The first 10 months of 2012 TSTI spent writing, recording and mixing his full-length release “evaluations” which consist of 9 tracks assessing those that surround him. Back in 2007 we released a 10″ mini LP with Solitude FX under the alias of Solitairen Effekten… featuring only German sung minimal elektro tracks with a slight hint of NDW… “sfx” is another collection of songs by the German duo… this time much more new wave orientated… and even more melancholy as before… but it is not only sadness and solitude these songs have to offer… there is also romance and devotion streaming through them… The minimal and lo-fi character of the production only serves the songs in being authenthic and straight from the heart… less is more proves again to be quite true… For the artwork Dutch visual artist Hans de Wolf photographed some of his wood sculptures… which fit amazingly well to the mood and feeling of the music… Listen here and order here. Here’s the latest digital release of this very prolific progressive-occult-ghost-wave artist from England. |
