The B.H.D. “The black Hotel’s Doorkeepers” is a French Cold Wave / Post Punk project, which was formed in 2102, to indulge mastermind David Droz’ musical roots. In 2013 the first songs appeared on the internet and caused a lot of attention, with their distinctive Joy Division influence, without sounding like a second class cover band.
Soon The B.H.D. decided, to release their first album “Nothing is Colder than You”, with the German label “Cold Insanity Music”, on September 2014.
Early 2015, The B.H.D. decided to release their second album “Dancing in the shadow”, in collaboration with the French music label “Manic Depression records”.
Driving bass guitars, demo-like, partly screaming guitars, a melancholic baritone and systematic placed synths are the basis of a lot of The B.H.D.’s songs.
The B.H.D.’s albums “Nothing Is Colder than You” and “Dancing in the Shadow” carries melancholy in a way, which is quite unique nowadays. Cold Wave and Post Punk meld into a one-of-a-kind mixture and will not only let the old Joy Division fans’ hearts beat higher, but also bring back the glorious 80s to a younger audience.

Logical Tears is a french band. Trace, Noctule. h, Veren. K, Thom and Zeta Jane (as lyric writer) created in 2012 what can be placed at the crossroads of Cold Wave, Dark Wave, Pop and Industrial Rock. They play a music where industrial beats, synthetic keyboards and the heavy bass of the New Wave are highlighted by powerful guitars and melodic vocals. Full of passion, their sound can either be tainted by a cold melancholy or burn in a flaming energy. You will find a combination of all these influences perfectly under control in the eight tracks of Japanese Lovers, their first EP.

Schonwald is a duo from Italy. Schonwald is all about atmospheres: hypnotic minimalist mood and a noise inclination with echoes of Suicide, New Order, The Cure, mingling with synth melodies straight from the ’80. Their first album “Amplified nature” was realized in February 2009 on a special Vinyl edition including CD on Pocket Heaven Records (Lux).
Schonwald live debut was in London at “Myogenic Festival” and Amplified Nature has been supported by 4 European tours through Italy, England, France, Switzerland , Luxembourg, Germany.
Don’t let the Germanic name fool you, the first Italian band signed to HoZac and one we’ve been excited to unleash for months, Schonwald emerge here on their US debut single slithering with unsettling vibes right from the start. This two-piece unit has been surreptitiously dwelling in the shadowy corners of the European underworld for a few years now, releasing their debut LP in 2009 on a special Vinyl edition including CD on Pocket Heaven Records (Lux) and performing at festivals with the likes of UK Decay, and other similar bands, Schonwald are now encroaching on world submission with the unleashing of their long-anticipated “Mercurial” single. A chilling and hopelessly bleak drum-machine rhythm sets the tone, parting the waves of rippling darkness into a massive surge of inescapable, hushed-yet-crushing electronic melancholia. European post punk at it’s finest, Alessandra and Luca of Schonwald create a pulsing, black-lit atmospheric electronic vibration so cold, hypnotic, and simple, it’s perfect for our endlessly frozen world.
