G.V. Is a band formed by A.Giordano. He starts composing songs and lyrics reflecting dark and nostalgic atmospheres typical of dark and cold wave, but with a modern attitude which draws inspiration from contemporaneous Berlin’s and British minimal synth experiments. After a while he decides to create a real band which takes more substantial form after having experienced several line up changes… With Gennaro Campanile playing bass guitar and Roberto Amato on guitar everything seems to work out.
Created by M as a side-project and one-man-band, Zurich (Switzerland) based Cold Wave/Post-Punk outfit Veil Of Light emerged in late 2012. With Veil Of Light, floating layers of synth, reverb drenched guitars, shattering rhythms and gloomy vocals come together to create haunting songs of light in darkness. Written, performed and recorded all alone in a bunker at the border of Zurich, the debut EP »Veil Of Light« was released by Swedish industrial wave label BELÄTEN in May 2013.The tape was characterized as »six songs of ice cold gothgaze splendor« and it sold out in less than two months. The follow-up »Cold Skin« was released in late November by Swiss label EDITION GRIS in form of a 7″ single containing two songs, combined with two digital bonus tracks. With »Cold Skin«, M delves more and more into the abysses of melancholia. In November 2014 Veil Of Lights full length debut LP Ξ was released by BELÄTEN. Due to overwhelming critics and after different gig offers, the one-man-band evolved into a two-piece outfit in order to play live. Veil Of Light has played headlining tours in Italy in 2014 and Skandinavia in 2015 as well as many Club shows in Switzerland, Germany, Holland etc. and Festivals like Wave Gotik Treffen Leipzig (WGT), Incubate Festival Tilburg etc., sharing the stage with bands like The Soft Moon, Zola Jesus, Christian Death, Lebanon Hanover, Dark Horses,Trepaneringsritualen, King Dude…
The Agnes Circle are a London-based post-punk duo formed in March 2015 by guitarist/vocalist Florian Voytek and bassist Rachael Redfern. The pair began working together and crafting their sound which draws on elements of French coldwave and English post-punk. The two combine ethereal guitars and brutalist bass lines led by militant drum machines and crooning vocals. The Agnes Circle have released a debut EP titled ‘Modern Idea’ on cassette with Philadelphia based label End Result Productions and on vinyl with French label Manic Depression Records.
The project started in 2011 after a common Post New Wave. Joris Oster, Olivier Justin and Raphaël Haubourdin decided to create an electro/coldwave band merging the power of a fuzzy bass guitar with electronic signals. After few nights spent in a recording studio, Alchemy took place Joris, Olivier and Raphaël write songs together and provide innovative sounds excluding guitars in favor of vintage synthetizers and burning bass lines. After a first album « Under your carbon constellation » released in 2013, ORGANIC toured around 40 dates in Europe including support acts for Agent Side Grinder and Graham Coxon. Now the band is proud to present a second album called « Empty century » co-released on Manic Depression (FR) and Swiss Dark Nights (CH/IT). Line-up and Concept remain the same but songs are now about our new century filled with disillusionments and hopes. |
