Safe Mind, the collaborative project of Augustus Muller of Boy Harsher and Lucy (Cooper B. Handy), return with exciting news following their breakout debut single “6’ Pole” last fall. The duo has announced their debut album, ‘Cutting The Stone’, set for release on July 25th, 2025. In 2020, Muller approached Handy to collaborate on a track for Boy Harsher’s album, The Runner (Original Soundtrack), and the result was the anthemic album standout “Autonomy.” Handy’s outsider take on songwriting proved an unlikely match with Muller’s neurotic attention to detail and production experience. Handy and Muller took note of their chemistry and continued to casually work on music over the next few years. As the tracks started to accumulate, they acknowledged a shared emphasis on sincerity in the songs they were making and Safe Mind was born. The ninth installment in the MEGABREAKZ series dives headfirst into the raw energy of early industrial. A rhythmic discharge straight from the golden era of industrial new beat and industrial dub: rusted percussion, toxic delays, and sweat-drenched basslines. Velax channels the raw spirit of Chicago’s most abrasive scene, Wax Trax!, where beats were machines and noise had a body. But here, everything is filtered through the dub haze of the UK’s early counter-scene, with fractured echoes in the style of Keith LeBlanc, crafting the ideal soundtrack for a crumbling factory. Grit, groove, and distortion as the only possible language. Renowned for his visceral work with HIGH-FUNCTIONING FLESH, Greg Vand dives deep into the experimental proto-industrial with his solo project NEWBOY, revealing a darker, looser, and more hypnotically unstable side of the music machines. “The Color of Everything” is a transmission compilation with cracked circuitry, lysergic funk, warped tape hiss, and urban hallucinations.Think Cabaret Voltaire jamming with Bourbonese Qualk, Ike Yard, and Esplendor Geométrico: a mutant rhythm ritual for abandoned clubs and alleyway rites. This is rhythm as both weapon and escape. A dystopian groove engine primed for fans of the avant-garde, the unstable, and the underground, all tuned into the fractured future of dance music. Announcing VHT62: Un Sombrio Heredero from Efigie (Santiago, Chile). This is a side project of one of the members of Parasomnia, and we’re delighted to take you on another rare dungeon synth adventure through the gloom of ruined, overgrown cathedral colonnades. Follow the story of our gloomy protagonist as they descend into the depths of haunted crypts, confronting liches, zombies, and maybe even a wayward necromancer, at last laying claim to forgotten esoteric secrets. |
