Our Unseen Guest’s dream-like narratives and ethereal vocals, float effortlessly over the insistent metallic rhythms and minimal tempos of his modular synth. Hailing from the South of France, Victor-Yann began writing and composing music in the early 2000s. Passionate about romantic poetry and occult music, especially the underground culture of the 1980s, his artistic and musical journey was also deeply influenced by the work of his elder brother Alaxis Andreas G. Today Selofan is numbered among the protagonists of the dark electronic music scene. Selofan’s sound and style possesses an extraordinary variety, while at the beginning they were stamped as a minimalsynth act, they soon developed their own audiovisual mix, combining different elements of electronic music, singing or storytelling in different languages and presenting themselves in such a theatrical way, that each live performance is emotionally overwhelming.
