SUIR is a Frankfurt based duo. In a constant interplay of guitars and synthesizers, supported by minimalistic and electronic drumbeats and melancholic lyrics, SUIR produces a reverberated shoegaze and atmospheric, cinematic music defined by dense, multilayered sound walls. This velvety, deep sound moves constantly between Post Punk, dark Shoegaze, synthesizer heavy Dark Wave, and Art Punk but because of their very own sound creations none of this genres can be unambiguously assigned.
‘Det Är Grymt I Norr’ is a compilation of exclusive tracks by artists reflecting the contemporary Swedish underground electronic music scene: ALVAR, Celldöd, Dissociō Modus Trāns, Hjärnkultur, Agent Side Grinder, Kinder aus Asbest, Æmɨt and Yabibo Hazurfa (special Scandinavian letters not included). The title of the compilation, Swedish for ‘It’s grim up north’, describes the atmosphere perfectly – in Swedish, ‘grymt’ also means cool. The gloomy cover was designed by Erik Söderberg. Subtitled ‘Swedish Synthetic Darkness’, the music on the album is intense, hard and cold at first listen but boiling with emotions underneath the surface. Expect industrial, EBM, coldwave, acid and everything on the spectrum between electro and ambient. Thank you for the music.
Quand le poupon psychotique saisit son hochet, ça donne Vésanie : un désordre mental rythmé par un orgue neurasthénique. Une dégringolade sans limite où la syntaxe ne rougit pas d’être à poil, à plume ou à écaille. Entre déstructuration linguistique salvatrice et minimalisme musical tout aussi jouissif, Poupard nous balance un renvoi coloré où se mêlent un imaginaire débridé et des mots impudiques. Acidité et fausse candeur : un duo complice et deux voix en échos. Disons le tout de go : Poupard c’est le rythme de nos vies déglinguées avec son lot d’espoirs hallucinés. C’est juste deux notes sur un piano… qui mine de rien, délient la camisole d’Artaud.
“Vade Mecum” is the second full length from “Analog Technoids” Metal Disco. 10 staunchly analogue tracks, presenting a gritty maze of hard-hitting electronics with a retro-punk aesthetic. Starting out as a side project for Paradox Obscur main-man Toxic Razor, the Metal Disco hardware obsessed music and inspiration never moves far from a 80s, primitive-tech, post-ebm, Cold beat, proto-punk, synth-orgy.
The KVB release their 6th album to date entitled ‘Only Now Forever’. After intense touring their 2016 release ‘Of Desire’, The KVB returned to their home to further immerse themselves in sonic experimentation. The resulting Only Now Forever heralds the next chapter in the adopted-Berliners dark, electronic pop development. |
