Broken English Club - Scars

Cititrax is proud to present a 4 song EP by Broken English Club. After the strong reception of the Violence & Divinity split with Silent Servant as well as his solo EP for Jealous God, here Oliver Ho (also known for his Raudive alias) continues in a similar vein, delivering sparse vocals and shards of live instrumentation over heavy, stuttering beats and bleak synths. The tracks on this EP are rich and darkly atmospheric, pulsating loudly through a smog filled dance floor. A subversive spin on dance music, the blank-stared, pin-point-focused electronics and layers of noise betray no/wave and post punk influences, dragging together industrial experimentation and pitch-black techno.

Artwork designed by Veronica Vasicka and sourced from the archives of Silent Servant, the Broken English Scars EP features a one of a kind vinyl pressing of white inside clear – limited to 999 copies and housed in a matte printed sleeve.

Crimson Muddle - La Rousalka

At the beginning of Crimson Muddle, there is Hellebore and her nightmares, nemesis of a complex and multifaceted personality.

In 2008, joining Igor’s disciples in Deadchovsky, Hellebore stood on its own and gave birth to Crimson Muddle, assisted by Annie-Dog and Abesada.

Improbable mixture of styles, rich experiences of each members, the music of Crimson Muddle oscillates between cold-wave, electro and martial chamber music, through dense and oppressive compositions. Purple ladies materialize their catharsis in a self-produced album, “Nocturne”, released in 2010, with the support of Manic Depression.

On stage, the trio embraces the desire to escape the compulsory figures willingly exchanging instruments according to their desires: keyboards, violin, theremin, bass, melodica, glockenspiel, concertina… but it is not enough!

Soon Gilbert Mudas, drummer Louis Lingg and the Bombs, fulfill the universe of Crimson Muddle, who plays harder and takes a look at more punk consonances. After several years of multiple concerts and mutations, drummer and violinist went to new horizons.

Phoenix joined by the violin, Crimson Muddle rising from the ashes and returns with a new album.

The B.H.D. - Dancing In The Shadow

The B.H.D. “The black Hotel’s Doorkeepers” is a French Cold Wave / Post Punk project, which was formed in 2102, to indulge mastermind David Droz’ musical roots. In 2013 the first songs appeared on the internet and caused a lot of attention, with their distinctive Joy Division influence, without sounding like a second class cover band.

Soon The B.H.D. decided, to release their first album “Nothing is Colder than You”, with the German label “Cold Insanity Music”, on September 2014.

Early 2015, The B.H.D. decided to release their second album “Dancing in the shadow”, in collaboration with the French music label “Manic Depression records”.

Driving bass guitars, demo-like, partly screaming guitars, a melancholic baritone and systematic placed synths are the basis of a lot of The B.H.D.’s songs.

The B.H.D.’s albums “Nothing Is Colder than You” and “Dancing in the Shadow” carries melancholy in a way, which is quite unique nowadays. Cold Wave and Post Punk meld into a one-of-a-kind mixture and will not only let the old Joy Division fans’ hearts beat higher, but also bring back the glorious 80s to a younger audience.
