Popsimonova ‎– After The Fall

Electronic Emergencies celebrates its fifth anniversary with ‘After The Fall’, by Croatian dark electro queen and style icon Popsimonova.

Cult classic ‘Drive’ was remastered especially for the clubs by Rude 66, who also made a DJ edit of ‘Dark Star Crashes’, the collaboration of La Popsimonova with Italian queer heroes Hard Ton.

Bosnian producer Borgie remixed ‘Break and Enter’ and ‘Delete Yourself’ into energizing, pounding dance floor killers.

The Hacker – Nancy

The Hacker needs no introduction. His 4-track 12-inch ‘Nancy’ on Electronic Emergencies finds him at his best – oscillating wildly from electro to new wave, his true musical roots. For the title track, he collaborated once more with post-punk hero Michael Zodorozny, vocalist of Crash Course in Science, resulting in a slippery wet dance floor killer. The three instrumental tracks have a gritty feel, breathing over the cold wave atmosphere.

Venderstrooik - Crustacean

Venderstrooik is a mysterious collective of musicians, artists and performers, infamous for their wild live shows and guerilla view on today’s society. Crustacean is their first concept album, and showcases their musical depth – from future electroclash classics via experimental acid techno to melodic sensitive moments. The often explicit but always witty and profound lyrics give us a further peek into their dark souls.

Det Är Grymt I Norr - Swedish Synthetic Darkness

‘Det Är Grymt I Norr’ is a compilation of exclusive tracks by artists reflecting the contemporary Swedish underground electronic music scene: ALVAR, Celldöd, Dissociō Modus Trāns, Hjärnkultur, Agent Side Grinder, Kinder aus Asbest, Æmɨt and Yabibo Hazurfa (special Scandinavian letters not included). The title of the compilation, Swedish for ‘It’s grim up north’, describes the atmosphere perfectly – in Swedish, ‘grymt’ also means cool.

The gloomy cover was designed by Erik Söderberg. Subtitled ‘Swedish Synthetic Darkness’, the music on the album is intense, hard and cold at first listen but boiling with emotions underneath the surface. Expect industrial, EBM, coldwave, acid and everything on the spectrum between electro and ambient. Thank you for the music.
