“Demons” is the logical progression from the minimalistic lo-fi darkwave sound crafted on the highly praised previous album “Loveless Adventures”, but on this one you can expect even more of this desperate and introspective display, dwelling into the darker dystopian side of up-to-date electronic sounds from European underground clubs and sweaty stroboscopic flash dance floors. Both restless and intimate, “Demons” brings eleven personal hymns full of icy synth lines, rubbery bass punches along with minimal wave drum beats that are all accompanied by desperate and warm cry out of his vocal manoeuvres.

‘Where The Wildflowers Grow’ marks the second solo album from Copenhagen-born artist, In Atlas. The album seamlessly weaves together electronically driven synthpop and darkwave, imbued with a dark disco sensibility. In Atlas pushes the boundaries, keeping this otherwise nostalgic sound fresh and contemporary. ‘Where The Wildflowers Grow’ is concerned with emotional liberation, serving as a testament to the strength of emotions and the journey towards embracing one’s own highly sensitive nature. Detroit’s dancefloor demolitionist, Comfort Cure, is back with a brand new single and cassette release, “I’m the Drug.” The cassette also contains the new song “Lows” and a new version of “Hands of Stone” along with three remixes of “I’m the Drug” on the b-side. Compared to previous Comfort Cure releases, these new tracks focus on a more synth-pop and dancefloor oriented sound. The three remixes on the B-side consist of a relentless EBM remix by NYC’s Nuxx Vomica, a hard hitting club remix from Kansas City’s Moon 17, and a skeletal minimal synth rework by Atlanta’s Anticipation. |
