Tanz Ohne Musik - Infinity

Tanz Ohne Musik appears for the first time on Galakthorrö, but should not be entirely unknown. Dan Serbanescu, from Bucharest, has been making music for a considerable time, supported by Luna, who contributes the photos and videos. The sound with which Tanz Ohne Musik has recently stirred up interest, is on offer on the new album Infinity: Pared to the bone Angst Pop songs – radical minimalism in text and tone. Serbanescu’s strengths lies especially in the directness of his production, that celebrates the analog synthesizer with minimal distractions. He channels its raw power to driving dance hits as well as moody tracks. With unerring accuracy he arranges his sparsely selected sound elements with undercooled vocals, and always ends in melancholia, but is unpretentious and honest, that goes without saying.

Im Namen Des Volkes - Aus Den Anti-Imperialistischen Tagebuchern

Peripheral Minimal is proud to announce the forthcoming album, ‘Aus Den Anti-Imperialistischen Tagebüchern’, by In Namen Des Volkes.

INDV is the brainchild of Hamburg resident Matthias Schuster (also of Bal Paré, Das Institut, Geisterfahrer and others), and creates a more heavy-weight style of Minimal Synth in the spirit of D.A.F., or even early Front 242. The tracks were taken directly off cassettes and reworked with added vocals, whilst maintaining the original 80s recording techniques of 4-track and purely analogue instrumentation, strictly no plug-ins or digitalism here!

Matthias has been actively producing complex synthetic sounds since the late 1970s, having released seminal albums and singles on respected labels such as, Plastic Frog, Minimal Wave and Medical Records. His passion for all things analogue seems to be irrepressible, devoting a considerable amount of time to myriad projects each with their own unique qualities and sonics. He musically switches from Neue Deutsche Welle stylings, to Minimal Synth and proto-EBM with great dexterity and a rare continuing dedication.

Zanye East vs Cyborgs on Crack

Cyborgs On Crack is a Croatian “one-man-band” started in 2010 by Domagoj Krsic. Originally started as a self proclaimed “industrial” band with a goal to try and create music that barely resembled music, COC has evolved into a band that combines high energy dance music with catchy synth pop melodies, mutated sound textures, bizarre samples, and has been compared to bands such as New Order and Severed Heads. Cyborgs On Crack also produces psychedelic computer animations that add visual elements to the recordings.

Zanye East is one among the plethora of monickers and stage names used by Zane Michael O’Brien, A&R, and head of ESCC9 Escape Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. Zane has recorded twenty six full length LPs under aliases Fauxmusica, Sacred Star (Collaboration with Gus Maiden and Lauren James), CyberChrist&Crucifixion (Collaboration with David Atlas), a three piece band, Folding Pyramid (backed by Zevan Rosser and Leah Christopherson), as well as his DJ and remix craftmanship under his IXΘΥΣ pseudonym.

He has lived in places such as Indonesia, Bangkok, Singapore, New York City, San Francisco, Atlanta, and moonlighting as an English teacher in Istanbul, Turkey. He has offered and been offered productions and remixes from various affiliated artists Enix Inri, A V G V S T, Central Asian Nervous Systems, Argon Cowboy, PrismViews, ▼RIL Y▲ and Cyborgs On Crack.

Automelodi / Xarah Dion

Producer, composer, songwriter, Montreal’s Xarah Dion works on the verge of minimal wave. Dion’s well-received first LP Le Mal Nécessaire (2014) brought her to widely tour Europe.

The Automelodi project is elevated beyond a brilliant work of post modern electronic music to become a true stand-out within the broader context of popular music.
