4Cantons – Principi d’incertesa

“Principi d’incertesa“ is the debut by 4Cantons, a Berlin based musician from Barcelona. This EP is basically filled with dark elektro tracks… but it is not strictly elektro you get served here… these tracks are spiced up with touches of techno, EBM and acid… making them punchy and perfect for some body work on the dance floor… this without getting aggressive or anything as all tracks maintain some sort of relaxed hypnotic vibe…

You could look at this EP as a contemporary and more club minded take on early 2000’s elektro… recommended to (dark) elektro lovers but these sounds will also for sure appeal to fans of techno, EBM and acid alike… Keep an eye/ear out on this artist as this first effort is very promising…

Simply a hard-hitting and smashing debut EP… Leroy Se Meurt from France is a duo with a background in electronics and in punk music… and this is very evident in their sound… old school EBM is fused with fierce elektro… a true punk attitude and energy is always there… sort of in the tradition of Ich Bin… They stay away from the contemporary EBM sound with techno influences… Leroy Se Meurt choices their own stylistic path but with the same impact for the dance floor…or maybe even more impact…

LCN - Autonomie

LCN was present on the “Noblesse Oblige” compilation (Gooiland 23) with a sweaty EBM influenced track… on this 4 track EP you can expect dark and cold elektro sounds… it is reminiscent of Invasion Planete and Kommando 6 output but with a cleaner and more modern sound… still if you like(d) these early 2000’s elektro sounds you will love this too… this EP follows up on the steady stream of releases LCN has been putting out lately… among them on labels as Frigio Records and Return To Disorder… but this is probably his most dark and freaked out release up till now…

Ian Martin - Rites Of Passage

Dark rites…

Ian Martin should be no stranger to people who are into elektro and trippy electronics… with releases on Bunker, Panzerkreuz and Strange Life his reputation is quite settled… for Gooiland Elektro he came up with four tracks filled with dark beats… from pounding to spacey… elektro and EBM influenced with industrial tendencies…

Unruhe

The Gooiland Elektro compilation “Unruhe” is a showcase of contemporary acid techno… spacey and trippy in the hands of Zarkoff and distorted and freaked out by Roberto Auser… but also rather industrial when done by FOQL or pushed to the extreme by The Untitled… this is acid as it should sound… edgy and daring tracks for illuminated heads instead of easy and boring sounds suitable for the masses… and as with all Gooiland Elektro releases this one is equally intense on the dance floor as with headphone playback…
