Container 90 are Ron & Mike. The band started 2004 in Kungsör, Sweden. Musically Container 90 works in a genre usually called “Oldschool EBM” but for those not familiar with the band, the sound could be described as punk on synthesizers or as we also say, Electro Punk or Hardcore Electronics.

Musically Container 90 works in a genre usually called “Oldschool EBM” but for those not familiar with the band, the sound could be described as punk on synthesizers or as we also say, Electro Punk or Hardcore Electronics. Container 90 are back again and for the first time on 7”. Those familiar with the usual electro punk, EBM sound of Container 90 can expect something slightly different. These tracks are actually quite old and are a kind of leftovers from producing the albums. The songs did not fit the sound of the albums but was still good enough to be released, so the single format was a way to go. We love 7”. The song Friendship And Love is a homage to the early electronic sound of Germany and Neu Deutsche Welle. The lyrics are translated fragments from DAF lyrics and ended up as a tribute song to Robert and Gabi in all aspects of lyrics, instruments, sound and artwork. On the flip side you find a slow track inspired of the cold war era and nuclear power. Acoustic drums are used on these recordings and are played by the super creative Stefan Eriksson that usually works in bands like Sister Electra (synth pop), Brotherhood (goth), Sophia(industrial), Fenix (indie pop), Alfahanne (rock) to name a some of them. Some girls’ choir was also added to get closer to the right feeling of the NDW sound. Deadbeat aka Manus Norr comes from small town Nora in Sweden. Since the 80´s many projects have seen the light of the day because of the creative mind of Deadbeat. Most well-known might be the short lived project The Girl and The Robot together with Frl Plastique known for her work with Welle: Erdball who released an album in 2010. For the first time, you can now listen to Deadbeat on good old vinyl. On the title track “Lost Your Marbles” Deadbeat collaborates with both Compute and Frl Plastique as lead singers. On the opposite side, you can find the previous unreleased track Playing the Game sung beautifully by Frl Plastique. This year we celebrate 25 years as a radio show. To celebrate this, we thought we make something special. We invited some of our favorite Swedish bands to make covers of our radio jingle to put out on a record. This 10” vinyl is the result and we are very happy and proud to present you stunning versions by Tobias Bernstrup, Deutsche Bank, Autodafeh, Spark! Machinista, Disco Digitale and Maskinpop.
