Night Hexe are Pablo Casadey and Sam Young. Originally from Argentina and England, they are now based in Europe. Together, they combine dark atmospheric lyrics with post-punk guitars and electronic beats. [Discogs]
After his sold out LP “Salz” and an extensive tour in Europe, L.F.T. aka Johannes Haas is back on Mannequin Records with a brand new 6-tracks EP “Hollow Head”. Blessed by the vocal features of Rosaceae ( the bloodthirsty breaktbeat ‘I Want To Be A Witch’), Nils Fock (the banging wave ‘Hörst Du Das’) and Petra Flurr (EBM anthem ‘Panzer Tanz’), L.F.T. music evokes a urge of dancing while simultaneously embracing a DIY aesthetic, creating a sonic universe where past, present, and future converge. The Hacker aka Michel Amato, a long time collaborator of Mannequin Records, is joining the pack with his interpretation of ‘Panzer Tanz’, turning the track into a straight techno banger. L.F.T. is a visionary artist who takes listeners on a mesmerizing journey through a sonic landscape that fuses elements of electro and new wave aesthetics. Towards the beginning of 2023, we at DKA heard rumblings of a new cold-wave inspired acid performer/producer fogging up Atlanta’s stages. We were excited to learn that it was our friend Peter Roglin, aka Charolastra. Now working under the Fugitive Artifact moniker, DKA is thrilled to present his debut album, “Deferentiator.” Painted with bleak, textured, dystopian backdrops and dark cryptic lyrics, fugitive artifact is a unique exploration of dance music drawing on a breadth of influences from Chicago House, techno, electro, dark pop, and cold-wave. Designed to be a vehicle to explore his darker, colder side, he wanted to do away with the laptop as much as possible, relying solely on drum machines and synthesizers. For Roglin, this project is about relinquishing control and embracing the ephemeral impermanence of musical ideas. The theme of relinquishing control is at the centerpiece of Deferentiator in both approach and subject matter. Fitting right at home with local DKA acts TWINS and CRT, the now NYC-based Fugitive Artifact has imagined a sound reminiscent of Suicide and Drexciya combined with a strong appreciation of the cinematic film scores of David Lynch, Angelo Badalamenti, Nicolas Winding Refn, and Cliff Martinez. Colombian producer Faunes Efe known under his moniker Filmmaker, is one of the most productive and vital producers in the EBM, Industrial, Synth-wave and Electro community. He has quickly build a cult following amongst those with an affinity for dystopian electronics drenched in seductive darkness. After more than 20 records within a 5 year span, Filmmaker keeps running engines with “Machinations”, a mini-album containing 7 cuts that blast a mechanical blend of Electroclash and Minimal Synth. This ride of prominent square waves, robotic beats and detuned atmospheres is born from mainly two instruments: a Syntakt & a processed guitar. E.L.I. debuts on the Pinkman Broken Dreams series. Prepare to be entranced by the mesmerizing hardware jams that reverberate through your consciousness. As the shadows lengthen and the night embraces you, immerse yourself in ‘Built to Thrill,’ where darkness and euphoria collide in a symphony of madness. |
