LLORA

LLORA’s self-titled LP is flush with emotion. The Texas-based artist makes their SYNTHICIDE debut with nine songs that exude a spectrum of feeling: from heartbreak to mania, longing and sorrow. The album bleeds out to the genre edges of EBM and wave characteristics but is dreamlike pop at its very core—”LLORA” is the artist at their most vulnerable, a fantastical state translated into dance music.

Nina Belief - The Wanderer

Nina Belief’s “The Wanderer” intricately dissects the dual nature of wanderlust, juxtaposing the exhilarating freedom it offers with a poignant search for meaning or an escape from inner turmoil. Set against Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes, the piece encapsulates the isolation and allure of perpetual wandering, offering a profound commentary on the human condition.

Plexi Stad - Siren Dance

Plexi Stad comes around the corner with their second 7”, which is their first release on Mangel.

With broken-down melodies, they insist on rhythms and tones, somehow stubborn and angry. The bass purrs along and the guitar works its way into the rhythm section, while the vocals sit on top, somehow offended, once more whipping the songs forward. Sometimes a melody breaks through and the whole thing becomes catchy and dancy.
