Welcome to the era of “Artificial Renaissance”. Humanity and technology stand at a crucial and fundamental intersection. Echoing past cultural revolutions in a modern, technologically advanced world, everything is set to be redefined—our lives, our thoughts, and the way we move forward.

Dutch EBM/synth duo Staatseinde returns with “Artificial Renaissance”, an electrifying new mini-album set for a vinyl release on May 20th via Wave Tension Records. Fusing the urgency of classic EBM with the boldness of futuristic synth-punk, the band crafts an interstellar sonic journey fueled by pulsating rhythms and dystopian narratives.

“Echoes in My Room” marks the first EP release of Camy Huot, a French performance artist, music producer, and DJ currently based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Known for driving the pulse of the underground scene via her Wave Crash events, radio shows and DJ sets at live shows & festivals (e.g. Best Kept Secret, Gothic Pogo, Club Solitaire and Grauzone 2025).

The EP showcases her growth as a producer and her commitment to creating evocative electronic music. The lead single of the same title is a sound collage carved from pulsing nights and flickering memories. The title track drags you through the jittering haze of a post-party fugue, where the beat still thumps in your veins, but reason left the building hours ago. “It’s about coming back home when everything is still booming in your ears”, Camy whispers when I ask her about it. “And all that happened flashes like echoes. It is an ode to the mistakes we made at night”.

The night stretches elastic, twisted. You’re a hostage to the rhythm, riding the edge of something primal and broken. Neon shadows flinch and fold into your peripheral vision. A voice—your own, maybe—says you don’t have to worry about it. The night insists. The echoes pile up in your skull, turning themselves inside out. “It’s boring here, and I don’t wanna go home”.

“Demons” is the logical progression from the minimalistic lo-fi darkwave sound crafted on the highly praised previous album “Loveless Adventures”, but on this one you can expect even more of this desperate and introspective display, dwelling into the darker dystopian side of up-to-date electronic sounds from European underground clubs and sweaty stroboscopic flash dance floors. Both restless and intimate, “Demons” brings eleven personal hymns full of icy synth lines, rubbery bass punches along with minimal wave drum beats that are all accompanied by desperate and warm cry out of his vocal manoeuvres.

Raderkraft takes you on an introspective journey to the darkest corners of the human mind with his 4th release called “Politiestaat?!”

The icy synthesizers, hypnotic rhythms and piercing vocals weave a story with the central themes of fear, misunderstanding and rejection.

Raderkraft brings his signature sound, a unique mix of raw energy and refined minimalism, back to life. This time only up-tempo songs, partly in Dutch and also including a remix plus a French cover. It also -finally- marks the release of the crowd favorite “De Witte Streep” (in remastered version) on vinyl!

The lavish lyrics reflect a sense of rejection in an indifferent polarizing society. This mini album will make you think, feel and finally realize that we live in turbulent times

Colombian producer Faunes Efe known under his moniker Filmmaker, is one of the most productive and vital producers in the EBM, Industrial, Synth-wave and Electro community. He has quickly build a cult following amongst those with an affinity for dystopian electronics drenched in seductive darkness.

After more than 20 records within a 5 year span, Filmmaker keeps running engines with “Machinations”, a mini-album containing 7 cuts that blast a mechanical blend of Electroclash and Minimal Synth. This ride of prominent square waves, robotic beats and detuned atmospheres is born from mainly two instruments: a Syntakt & a processed guitar.

“Home Alone” is the Fruit of the Pandemic and heartbreaks, it is a return to basics, to how everything started in 2005: making music alone in a room, at home, preferably at Christmas hour…As usual, the variety of genres present in this album is a key factor to understand Sydney’s approach of music: painting a large range of emotions, despite the constant social need of artistic classification: Sydney doesn’t want to identify to a scene in particular…You will hear in this album Dark Wave, Ebm, Post Punk, Rave, Italo Disco, Ambient, the common denominator being always an underlying Pop vibe.

Somewhere between minimal synth, electro and wave is the irresistible sound of Raderkraft, aka musician /producer Willem Stinissen from Amsterdam.

As cold as it is catchy and hypnotic, armed with pulsating analog synths, staccato drum computer beats and sampled vocals, Raderkraft takes you into a dystopian past, present and future on his third 4-track EP called “Dust & Debris” by treating global world problems such as: the devastating impact of drug addictions; the futureexistence of our planet due to climate change; the global widespread destruction by nuclear war; and the fear for terrorist attacks.

The title track “Dust and Debris” describes the 9/11 catastrophe and contains a chronological frightening news report from several media sources telling us what happened that day exactly 20 years ago. With this EBM style track Raderkraft perfectly catches the incomprehension and fear that shocked the world that day.

Through its songs, the album concentrates on the fundamental issue of whether rituals are a necessary part of all societies. Rituals in a classic sense, do not really exist in modern Western society, but some of these present-day routines repeated by individuals and groups have now become “Toxic Behaviours” in unexpected areas of our modern life. In its exploration of these modern rituals, the album examines the symbolism behind technological conquests, dead generations, urban violence, superficiality, and vanity.

The electronic pioneer and founding father of synthpop, Gary Numan, celebrates his 40th anniversary as recording artist. During these 40 years, Numan’s impact made itself felt; his dark, paranoid vision, theatrically icy alien persona, and clinical, robotic sound were echoed strongly in the work of many goth rock, wave and industrial artists.

Twenty-one years after the “Random” tribute album on Beggar’s Banquet, Wave Tension Records releases a Gary Numan tribute album by contemporary dark wave, gothic and dream pop artists. The release will be a limited edition of 250 copies on black vinyl.

The album opens with Agent Side Grinder’s nostalgic analogue rendition of ‘I’m An Agent’, followed by Ash Code’s fresh sounding fast paced post-punk/dark wave version of ‘Down In The Park’. Shad Shadows turn ‘Metal’ into a heated witchy darkwave track. On the last track of Side A, Box & The Twins create dreamy soundscapes in their version of ‘complex’. SUIR opens Side B with a hypnotic psychedelic slowed down art-punk version of ‘Cars’. Synths Versus Me turns Numan’s monster hit ‘Are Friends Electric?’ into a fresh synthpop & EBM take with Art of Noise-esque vocals. The album’s closing track is a gothic rock rendition of ‘My Name Is Ruin’ by Swedish rockers Then Comes Silence which encourages you to sing along.
